Organization: The Critical Journal of Organization, Theory and Society

“This is a time of unprecedented debate and diversity in organization studies, when intellectual reassessments go alongside a plurality of organizational forms and practices in a globalizing world. The central task for students of organization is to construct those analytical narratives and ethical discourses appropriate to the radically changing structural, theoretical and ideological realities we now face. Organization seeks to address this important task.”

Niche hosting services

I’m doing a bit of a summary of niche hosting services that are similiar to Userzoo, I’m quite interested in different models for this, and what projects people have been able to achieve collaboratively with such initiatives.

Here’s an Australian one. They are currently undergoing two changes, one, a move to the United States for cheaper hosting, and two, a move to a commercial model, having previously worked on donations.

Ricoh GR Digital

I’m in the market for a high end digital compact, and am pretty happy to find that Ricoh have released a digital model of their fantastic GR range.

I’m in the market for a high end digital compact, and am pretty happy to find that Ricoh have released a digital model of their fantastic GR range. Rather than developing just another digital compact, Ricoh have designed a camera with the philosophy of the original GR. The GR Digital is a nod to the old skool, with full manual controls, a high quality fixed lens and a slim, unassuming matt black finish and a heavy, quality build. It shoots 8 meg RAW files with plenty of engineering trickery to ensure quality images. And this all comes in at just over 300 pounds, making it, as the GR before it, a working class rival to Leica. I think I might just have found my camera!
