Urban golf is not a myth!
We encountered a group of urban golfers in Paris last weekend.

According to the BBC, players use a leather ball stuffed with goose feathers to minimise damage to surrounding vehicles, buildings and people! However I’d note that the ball’s these guys were hitting were white, not brown as seen in the BBC images.
